Existing CNC machines can take on new functions: rotary tables, measuring probes, RFID interfaces, tool pre-setters, and barcode readers.
One of those additions reads a QR label and enters the actual tool data into the correct fields on the CNC. Manual typing of that data is reduced — the company states this can save 45% of that entry time — and input errors are removed. An optional LCD can mirror the tool-offset page so the operator sees the same screen as on the control.
